If you were looking for a great Mom and Pop diner, this is not what you were hoping for. Very average and bland food. The food tasted and felt store packaged/ costco style. If you have kids skip the kids meal and get them a full meal. The food looked store bought and frozen in bulk who knows how long ago. It was dry and tasteless. My kids didn't even finish. I doubt I would go back here.

not even average. greasy and dirty. i made the mistake of ordering a salad once that said 'mixed greens' ... it was all iceburg lettuce. when i asked the waitress i got attitude. mixed greens means iceburg. silly me! we went here for 10+ years but won't return. the breakfasts used to be good but have gone downhill. the whole place is tired and in need of an overhaul. there are more options in town now and subway does a better breakfast. the tv with local ads is a joke.

Good old fashioned breakfast at small town prices.

This place uses real, full fat cheese. I shouldn't have to say anymore than that to persuade you to go......but I will. The hubs and I were passing through town so we stopped in here for some breakfast on a Saturday morning. We were seated almost immediately. The very friendly waitress came and took our order and then brought our drinks. Then we waited for what seemed like 40 minutes for our food. At least our drinks were being refilled in a timely manner. Food finally arrived. I ordered the mushroom cheese omelet (it came with hash browns) with a scone and the hubs ordered the breakfast burrito (also came with hash browns) with sausage. Here were my thoughts on my meal: scone - fluffy pillow of heaven; hash browns - cooked perfectly; omelet - mushrooms were awesome, eggs cooked just right and the cheese was to murder for. The hubs and I both LOVED their cheese. Hubs thought the rest of his meal rocked too. Total bill for the 2 of us: $20.13. Thumbs up!!

This is a small town, so I'm not revealing my name. :) We have eaten here more than once and it's like a Denny's on crack. Low quality food, old beat up place, average service. Worst Chili I have ever eaten. Oh my! But Im sure they are good folks.

Good eats. Breakfast is always good, burgers are pretty good as well. Service is pleasant, but not overly attentive.

Not very good we stood around although there was virtually no one there. The service was ok but the food greasy and not very plentiful. I will not be going here again in the future!

Good spot for breakfast in Heber, recommended to me by a local. Breakfast served all day. I had egg, hash browns, and bacon. The bacon was the star, thick ,and I ordered it crisp, and it was. Also had a scone, which was excellent. Decent, home style cooking and service.

If you like okay food in a totally Heber feeling cafe then go to chick's cafe. If you want essentially the same thing but a step down in quality this is the place for you. The griddle and fryer impart a vulcanized, greasy, earthy flavor to much of the food. It's a Gordon Ramsey nightmare for sure! Bloody hell! Alas If you must their Breakfast is better than their lunch and dinner.

Went there for breakfast with my wife. Mediocre at best. Eggs were tiny, pancake syrup was cold, sausage looked like it was a week old. Better places to eat!

Great place to eat and very affordable. Has a nice wooden interior and the waitresses are great with taking care of you!

I had a great experience here. I read the other reviews and felt reluctant but said what the hell, I'm hungry! The place was slammed but I was greeted by the hostess immediately and was seated very quickly. My server Heather was stellar; she checked in on me many times throughout my visit but I never felt rushed. She was genuinely there to serve me and she made me feel like a valued customer. They were flexible with my food requests and let me design my own platter; it was brought out quickly and was delicious and exactly like I had requested. Super inexpensive and friendly patrons as well as friendly staff!

Ever seen the steak restaurant menu that contains descriptions of steak done-ness? It states, "Well-done: order chicken". When I order a steak medium rare, I'm really, really, REALLY passionate about that decision. Please try to share my passion and bring it to me with a pink center; not well-done. You could use better cuts too. Also, it's not that difficult to put the eggs over-medium on the wheat toast as I asked.

The service was pitiful, they just left us sitting in an adjacent room, had to get up and remind them we were there, one only good thing was the pancakes, ate and ran, never to return

We stopped by this restaurant in Heber city after driving home from our cabin at Strawberry Reservoir. The Hub is located right in the center of the small town. The decor suggest a western cabin feel and done a little cheesy with not a ton of thought. We were a party of 7. I had roast beef it was ok, the salad reminded me of school lunch, "a watery salad" and the scone was huge and greasy, all the food that came out was huge in portions, so you can't complain there. The consensus from our group was everything was average, no dishes stuck out with flavor. Their prices are fair, so you'll get a lot for the money. If your looking for a casual place to "grub" and not be picky this works. If your looking for cleanliness and 4-5 star it's not the place. It good old fashion food, nothing more, nothing less.

The hub once was a great place to take your family and friends. Now it has taken a turn in the opposite direction. After hearing recently about the hubs poor performance I decided to check it out for myself. Let's start with the food. I got the big pancake and bacon dish that was offered thinking to myself how hard is it to screw up a pancake. Evidently they know how. There was a big black hair sitting right on the edge of the pancake. The bacon I had asked for to be crispy was limp and undercooked. The waitress was nice and kind, returning an adequate amount of times to the table. Now on to the restroom... Well this is where the hub is going to get the biggest hit. The floor was dirty and dusty and the toilet was full of everyone else's not so wonderful dinner and no longer capable of flushing. If the owner ever gets his/her eyes on this review I would recommend that you close down the hub for a little while and get things fixed.

Food wasn't very good. The eggs in my omelette were paper-thin, the cheese was greasy, and the hash browns were dry and tasteless. The scone I had was by far the best part of the meal. My boyfriend got a waffle and was disappointed. Portions were large, though.

Stick with the breakfast. Last night my wife and I had the Ribeye steak and it was horrible. It had no flavor and looked like it was cooked, put in the refrigerator and then take out when needed and heated up and served. Our friends had the chicken fried steak and none of them finished it because it was so bad. When we told the cashier how bad it was she agreed and said she doesn't eat the food there and sticks with the breakfast and nachos. Paid a lot of money for a lousy meal.

It was not busy, but we waited 10 minutes to be seated. Bland food. The Scones are the only thing I could recommend.

So terribly, terribly boring. I love simple diners, but the cooks at the Hub are just plain lazy. Definitely won't be back. Avoid this place if you care about flavor of any kind.

We were very disappointed! Waitress told us we couldnt order our bacon crisp because theyre too busy for "special orders". Really?? The biscuits and gravy were the WORST I have ever ever had. The eggs were poorly done and there was A GIANT BLACK HAIR IN MY HASHBROWNS.UUUUUUUGGGGGGGGHHHHHH!! Never again!

I've been going to the hub for almost 40 years now, and its just what you'd expect a local Cafe should be. First off, its a cafe, its not a gourmet joint and you don't have to put your napkin on your lap here. It reflects the town of the hard working town of Heber city: its friendly, the prices are honest, the place is real. The breakfast is always good, and they serve it all day. The lunch is OK, and the faire fits what you'd expect.

Hmmmm.....what can I say. If you like really greasy food that's "average", this is the place for you. They don't offer fruit. The food is mediocre. The seats are all torn up. The entry way is dirty. The woman's bathroom has a toilet without a tank cover. On the plus side, it's a local place in Heber, the staff is really wonderful and it's convenient and inexpensive.

Diner - FAIL. I have tried repeatedly to like this place! I want a small town diner to eat at. This is not the place for me though. Any place that tried to pass off tartar sauce as salad dressing is full of crap. When you wait over 20 minutes for waitresses to notice you, it's not a great feeling (this was during a very quiet time, by the way). Rude service and at times a complete lack of any service all adds up to me never going there again. Also, when fat and obese people are your regulars, please replace the old seats! The rest of us are quite uncomfortable sitting in someone else's ASS-DENT!! AWFUL :( NOT GONNA HAPPEN AGAIN What a waste of $$ Also, only order mainstream items, such as burger's, pancakes etc., if you dare to stray and get a salad or anything not-obese-friendly, they will screw it up so badly! I'd rather eat (gags) McDonald's than at the Hub. Need: New staff, new owner, new management, complete furniture upgrade and renovation. Good luck! (You should go to Orem or Provo, WAY more food choices!)

Hub Cafe in Heber City is the quintessential small town breakfast joint and is frequented by locals wearing cowboy boots and Wrangler jeans. The staff is friendly and breakfast is served up fast. Their food is tasty and I've enjoyed their eggs, hash browns, bacon, and toast many times. Never been here for lunch or dinner but breakfast gets an A in my grade book.
